To reference another nautical proverb, strong ships were not built to sit within the harbor. Each of us has strengths that people dont even know because we havent tested them. By putting ourselves in situations that need much more of us than we think we've, we stretch our own knowledge, our capabilities and demonstrate that we can handle whatever we setup for ourselves.
However, to do that means being willing to endure times of self-doubt, when family members give well-intentioned advice about what to do (which, quite often, theyve never done themselves and may only originate from what they know to be real within their world). It means being willing to know your destination, without necessarily knowing just how youre going to make it happen. This means intense personal development to reveal and foster those inner connections, capabilities, and dreams.
What will we have to let go of to get different results from what weve always gotten in our lives? The following might surprise you.
Our Being
The way weve always been wont take us to where you want to go, if where we want to go is really a new place. That's, to proceed to the tropics, but weve always lived in the frozen tundra, we'll have to make adjustments in how we think, dress, behave, eat, etc. Energetically, we'll connect with a new environment through a new way of being. This is what is required to activate the universal loa; which basically states that like attracts like. If we continue to be as weve been, well still get what weve always had. To create new success, we must grow and express our inner Being.
Our Knowing
We accumulate knowledge throughout our life, through education and experiences. That knowledge may or may not be relevant anymore to in which you want to go. However, it was essential that you get it at the time to get to where you stand now. It's most useful to have a beginners mind, an empty slate, so that you release preconceived ideas and are open to the opportunities that present to you on the way. It is important to understand is you live purposely, and when that does not feel right, it is time to create a change.
Our Doing
We have to do things differently in order to get new results. That pertains to people, to expectations, to prioritizing our time and effort, and much more. In relationships, we might discover that we are showing up in a new way, and our people might not understand what to make of us. This is a natural reaction, in ways, because if we are doing different, they also have to change. If we decide to not make a move different, we are limiting our self-expression to keep the peace. In other locations, we should actively release our attachments to our history, because we're no longer that person C it's a new day. We should release our expectations to a particular outcome; that's, we all know we want to get from San Diego to New York, but when we are too attached to it being with an airplane, we'll miss the scenic route where we're able to meet the exact right opportunity. Our Doing must trust and become in flow with our new states of Being and Knowing.
Moving out of the comfort zone into the vitality of new every day life is exciting and dynamic C and can mention our innermost fears. However, when you are prepared to go through the letting go of the items we all know in return for what we should might have is the best way we'll attain the greatness of success already waiting inside us.
